Left Over Ideas
Using one ingredient (bacon) in a variety of dishes is a great way to get the most out of your food orders, make interesting dishes that free up fridge space and even use up excess stock.


Ingredients
- 500g Brussel Sprouts
- 1 packet Chestnuts
- 10-12 K&G McAtamney Streaky Bacon rashers
- 3-5 sprigs Thyme Bag
- 30g Unsalted Butter
Method
- Defrost the brussel sprouts
- Pre oven to 180c
- Cook the bacon for 4-5 minutes in the oven until crispy
- Put on a frying pan on high heat with 3 tbsp of oil.
- Fry the brussel sprouts off in the oil until they get a bit of colour then add the chestnuts.
- Fry altogether until the brussel sprouts are piping hot.
- Take off the heat and add the butter.
- Chop up the bacon and toss through the sprouts and chestnuts.
- Serve into a dish and garnish with fresh thyme.
Top Tips:

You can break up the chestnuts to get different textures within the dish.

You can fry the chestnuts separate to get a crispier texture also.


Ingredients
- 300g Macaroni Pasta
- 350g Kerrymaid Slices
- 12-15 Bacon Rashers
- 20g Panko Breadcrumbs
- 15g Salted Butter
- 1/2 Lemon
- 1/4 Premier Produce Peashoot Growing Box
Method
- Pre heat the oven to 180c
- Cook the bacon for 4-5 minutes until crispy.
- Cook the pasta according to the back of pack.
- Melt the cheese slices in a saucepan on a low heat add milk if too thick.
- Melt the butter in frying pan and then add the panko crumbs. lightly toast in the pan.
- When the cheese is melted add the cooked pasta and pour into a serving dish and season.
- Chop up the crispy bacon quite fine and mix with the panko crumbs.
- Sprinkle the crumb mix over the top of the cheesey pasta and back for 6-8 minutes.
- Garnish with the Premier Produce Peashoot Growing Box and zested lemon.
Top Tips:
- You could cook more bacon and mix in with the pasta.
- Add the juice from tinned jalapenos to give a kick to the sauce.


Ingredients
- 3 Eggs
- 1 tbsp Caster Sugar
- 65g Plain Flour
- 120ml Whole Milk
- 5-8 Bacon Rashers
- 65g Blueberries
- 15g Butter
- 1 tsp Coca Powder
Method
- Preheat the oven to 220°c.
- Mix the eggs, sugar, coco powder and whisk until smooth. add the flour and milk and whisk until just combined.
- Crisp bacon in the oven for 3-4 minutes
- Add the butter to a small frying pan or skillet and place in the oven for 5 minutes. remove the pan from the oven, pour the batter into the pan, and immediately return it to the oven. bake until puffed and golden brown, about 15 -20 minutes.
- Remove from the oven and serve with the blueberries and crisp bacon.
Top Tips:

Garnish with some edible flowers.

Use frozen berries and make a compote to spoon on top.
